For you

You're in the right place — whether you're 8 or 18. Maybe you often feel sad, anxious, angry or empty, can't cope at school, sleep badly or hurt yourself. Talking about things like this is not a sign of weakness — and you're not alone.

What happens here. We listen to you and, together with you, look at what's going on and what might help. You don't have to talk about anything you're not ready for yet. We go at your pace.

With or without your parents. Sometimes your parents are there, sometimes you talk to us on your own — both are fine. From the age of 16 you can make an appointment yourself.

Does it stay between us? What you tell us, we treat confidentially — this is called medical confidentiality. The older you are, the more you decide yourself what your parents get to know. Only if there is serious danger to you or others do we sometimes bring in help — and we'll tell you when we do.

When you just can't go on right now

You don't have to wait for an appointment:

  • Emergency number 112 — when it's about life or acute danger.
  • krisenchat — around the clock by chat/WhatsApp, anonymous: www.krisenchat.de
  • Nummer gegen Kummer (children's helpline) — 116 111, Mon–Sat 2–8 pm, anonymous; the call doesn't show up on your parents' phone bill.
  • TelefonSeelsorge (emotional support) — around the clock: 0800 111 0 111 or 116 123.
  • Berliner Krisendienst (Region Mitte) — around the clock: 030 390 63 10.
